Last week we had a wedding and a sorority bid day party! We love weddings, but we also love getting to do events that are less common, but with a lot more body glitter!
Alpha Chi Omega Bid Day Party
On September 5th, the sisters of Alpha Phi Omega from UNCW wanted to make their bid day sparkle, so what did they do? They covered themselves in body glitter and headed over to The RiverRoom to celebrate with their new members!
With catering from Middle of the Island, the girls enjoyed a relaxing evening of food and friendship (and lots of pictures in front of their awesome handmade banner!)
Their theme was superhero’s, so of course there were a lot of capes and headbands too!
Kalyn and Mario Barron
On Saturday, September 9th, Kalyn married her best friend Mario here at The RiverRoom!
Kalyn was a very involved bride, and we loved getting to work more one on one with her than some of our other brides! From table runners to napkins, Kalyn had a unique vision and knew how she wanted her day to look. Pretty in pink, bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen tuxes featured the bride’s favorite color.
After a breezy ceremony, the deck was flipped to have a space for outdoor yard games including life-size Jenga and bean bag toss. Guests had the pleasure of bopping back and forth between cocktail hour and yard games.
A taco bar by Art Catering treated guests (even though it wasn’t Tuesday) and was topped off with a beautifully delicious ombre cake from Creative Cakes by Tammy Hodge!
The evening was closed off by a funny photo booth and dancing! Mario and his new bride left to spend time in Downtown Wilmington before catching their plane to the Dominican Republic Sunday morning.
Thank you to these awesome vendors!
